Title: HVAC Installer
 Reports To: Operations Manager

 The role is to properly install home comfort systems into homes and buildings within the guidelines of the company, and core values of 318 Heat & Air. Our team strives to provide quality service and workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction. Teamwork and communication are utilized to achieve performance results within the company guidelines. 318 Heat & Air is devoted to personal skill development and training to upgrade employee skills while providing service to our Northeast Louisiana community.

Qualifications
·      Ability to make confident decisions in the field

·      Ability to look at the system as a whole and identify issues
·      Be comfortable and confident when talking to customers
·      Great customer relations
·      Perform thorough and high quality work
·      Ability to go on the “on call” schedule
·      Complete understanding of HVAC codes, wiring diagrams, and charging charts
·      Advanced knowledge of the following: 
o   High Voltage and components in HVAC systems
o   System airflow and static pressures
o   Low voltage systems and components
o   Heat pumps
o   System and ductwork design 
o   Commercial HVAC Systems 
o   System airflow, static pressures, and pertaining mathematics 
o   Communicating systems 
o   IAQ and related components 
o   Low voltage systems and requirements
o   Mini-split troubleshooting  
·      Basic understanding of superheat, subcooling, and communicating systems
·      Identify issues on-site within the Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Fire Codes
·      Complete knowledge of how to read job blueprints 
 
Expectations
  • Always communicate with the General Manager any issues, customer concerns, or any obstacle that hinders meeting the 318 Heat & Air customer guidelines for satisfaction.
  • Be prepared to offer constructive solutions to problems.
  • Support your fellow team member of 318 Heat & Air – solving issues or problems through constructive communication.
  • Complete all paperwork and necessary administrative tasks on time, and in an accurate manner to support company operations.
  • Be a leader and a model example for the installers in all that is expected from them. This shall include personal appearance and grooming, truck care and cleanliness, workmanship, customer satisfaction, productivity, attitude, etc.
  • Meet installation quality and time guidelines and goals. 
  • All jobs completed same day unless priced otherwise. 
  • Support the 24-Hour emergency on-call installation schedule. 
 
Physical and Work Environment Requirements:
  • Exposure to extreme conditions such as heat
  • Walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at ceiling heights
